YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Four residential houses will open in Yerevan in December. The houses are being constructed under state order. Two of them are situated near the Vazgen Sargssian Stadium–the other two near the "Partez" shop in Hrachya Kochar street–according to the head of the "Construction and Improvement" Department of the Yerevan Municipality Ashot Sargssian.
He said that the construction of these buildings–which started in the Soviet era–was intended to solve the housing problems of the residents of the demolished buildings. However–construction was stopped after Armenia gained independence because of the lack of finances. Construction resumed in 1999 when more funds were made available.
