YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)– In the wake of the French Senate’s decision not to include the Armenian Genocide Resolution on its agenda–Socialist leaders in the country pronounced the issue not over yet.
The leaders of the Socialist party in the French Senate said that the reosolution calling for the French Parliament to recognize the Armenian Genocide should be introduced separately in the Senate and should not be the same resolution that was passed by the French National Assembly in 1998.
The case is not yet closed according to Senate Finance committee co-chairwoman Mary Gol Poton.
There is still hope for the resolution to appear on the Senate’s agenda in the near future–said the political leader..
