FRESNO–The Armenian Community School of Fresno will hold its 25th Annual Banquet on Saturday–February 23 at the Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church Social Hall.
The festivities start at 6 p.m. with full (hors d’oeuvres) "mezza" and continue at 7 p.m. with a barbecue steak or chicken dinner. The rest of the evening promises to be fast paced with raffles–door prizes–silent auctions–music provided by DJ Ara and dancing. In addition–the Armenian School students will perform a few songs in Armenian.
The master of ceremonies for the evening is MaryAlice Kaloostian–District Director for State Senator Chuck Poochigian. MaryAlice has great wit and is a top notch M.C. The surprise of the evening is who will be the guest of honor this year. You’ll have to come to the banquet to find out.
This year is especially exciting because the school has relocated to a new site–the former St. Theresa School at 1444 N. Wilson. The new school site is a modern facility with large classrooms and a large play-area.
The teachers and students are really enthusiastic about the new location. Principal Seth Atamian said that the move was the best thing that has happened to the school. "Now we have a top-notch facility to go along with our top-notch education," he said.
Tickets for the banquet are $30 for adults and $20 for children 12 and under and for all Armenian Community School students and alumni.
Tickets for the event can be purchased by calling the Armenian Community School of Fresno at (559) 233-1800 during the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The deadline for ticket purchase is Thursday–February 21st. For further information you can call Bryan Bedrosian at (559) 269-6089.
