STEPANAKERT (Combined Sources)–Nagorno-Karabakh Republic President Arkady Ghoukasian and Foreign Minister Georgi Petrossian met Thursday with the Russian Co-chairman of the OSCE Minsk Group to discuss the current stage of the conflict resolution negotiations. "The atmosphere of the meeting was wonderful, and we are very grateful to Arkady Ghoukasian. We noted during the conversation that we were greatful to the president since we had been meaning to visit Stepanakert and discuss the progress of the peace talks," said Russian co-chairman Yuri Merzlyakov. "We had a very detailed and substantive conversation. We discussed the current stage and prospects for the settlement of the conflict. I think the meeting was useful for both Arkady Ghoukasian and us. We exchanged views and tried to come to a common ground on a number of issues. It is worth mentioning that there exists a common opinion," added Merzlyakov. The ArmInfo news agency reported that the co-chairman did not disclose details of the Nagorno-Karabakh peace agreement, citing the confidentiality of the negotiations. The French and US co-chairmen were scheduled to arrive in Yerevan Thursday night.
