ATHENS (Azad Or) – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Foreign Minister Arkady Ghukassian met with
several Greek political officials during meetings held Monday–as he continued his first visit to Greece.
Accompanied by members of the Armenian National Committee of Greece and the second secretary of the Armenian Embassy in Greece Rouben Karapetian–Ghukassian spent most of Monday meeting with leaders of several Greek political parties–where he discussed the Karabakh question and implementation of peace in the region.
Ghukassian met with the chairman of the Sinaspismo political party Nikko Constantinopoulos; the Greek Communist party executive council member deputy Oresti Kolozofi and Communist party Central Committee member deputy Antony Skilako.
The Karabakh officials also met with chairman of the European Union Caucasus sub-committee chairman Aleksandros Alavanos–who is a member of the Sinaspismo party political unit.
Ghukassian concluded the day’s agenda by meeting with Political Spring party chairman Antonis Samaras.
He was scheduled to continue such meetings throughout his stay in Greece.
