YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–The Armenian government proposes amending the Law "On profits taxes" under which a profits tax is levied on medical equipment and medicine received as humanitarian assistance. The relevant bill will be submitted to the National Assembly.
Prime Minister’s Advisor Gagik Martirossian said that 82 charity and humanitarian programs worth a total of $171 million have been approved this year. Out of the programs worth a total of $51 million which have already been implemented–the cost of equipment and medicine delivery was $19 million.
