ANKARA—French President Francois Hollande, during what is being billed as an historical trip to Turkey, urged Ankara to “reconcile” with its own history and reaffirmed France’s recognition of the Armenian Genocide, reported Le Monde.
During a joint press conference with Turkish President Abdullah Gul, Hollande said “Uncovering history is always painful, but must be done” urging Turkey to address the issue of the Armenian Genocide on the eve of its centennial.
Hollande’s visit marks the first time a French president has visited Turkey in 22 years.
Gul, on the other hand, said that the matter should be addressed by historians.
“Woes of 100 years ago are our common woes…. It is not right to pass these woes from generation to generation,” said Gul. “What should be done, instead of reviving these woes, is to leave these to historians. This issue can not be tackled unilaterally.”
In 2000, France recognized the Armenian Genocide. In 2011 both branches of the French legislature approved bill to criminalize the denial of the Armenian Genocide in France. The French Constitutional Court deemed elements of the bill unconstitutional.
Hollande was asked if he would pursue the passage of such a bill, to which the French president said: “We will do what is right and only what is right.”
While in Turkey, Hollande is expected to meet with Hrant Dink’s widow, Rakel Dink.
President Gul, Please, “Don’t Deny” …
one day your grandchildren
will tell you that you have Armenian Genes …
The new generation they never like to lie …
They don’t want to stay orphan…Thinking they are pure Turkish! …
Turkish is a Nationality and never a Gene…
Like the Americans who arrived from all over the world
to create Colombian Land which belonged to Red Indians…
Can any one say, No…
The Palace you are sitting in belongs to an Armenians,
All this is a lie … Awake before you sigh and clear your sins …
Your parents knew history more than historians,
They told you who are they … And why you deny …
Are you scared from Turkish Scimitars…
If you say “God is Great” … we will say “Allah Akbar” …
I am sure you know how to say, “Asdvazh Mezh Ye”
Even in Armenian . . . !!!

This kind of lip service from the French has been going on for over 160 years.
Miyayn zenkov gah hayotz pergoutyoun.
Every diaspora cent has to go to the Armenian defense forces and the Armenian military industrial complex.
President Gul, Please, “Don’t Deny” …
One day your grandchildren
Will tell you, that you have Armenian Genes …
The new generation they never like to lie …
They don’t want to stay orphan…
Thinking they are pure Turkish! …
Turkish is a Nationality and never a Gene…
Like the Americans who arrived from all over the world
To create A Colombian State, which belonged to Red Indians,
Can any one say, No…and fearlessly deny…?
The Palace you are enjoying in… belongs to an Armenian,
All this is a lie? … Awake before you sigh and clear your sins …
Your parents knew history more than the historians,
They told you who are they …
How they forgot their Language, Faith, Culture
and called them selves “Turks”!
Are you scared from Turkish scimitars…???
If you say “God is Great” … We will say “Allah Akbar” …
I am sure you know how to say, “Asdvazh Mezh Ye”
Even in the genocided Language …
The Artful Armenian… !!!

The guy does have testosterone.
Encouraging, but I won’t buy my champagne/cognac yet.
It matters not – wether or not turkish historians recognize the Genocide; at this point it may be too late for such a gesture to be considered a remedy. Because the consequences will be the same as far as criminal responsibility as well as civil liability for the Genocide is concerned. Turkey will pay, one way or the other, in the judgement being executed by history! ARMENIA will be liberated in its entirety, from Cilicia to Ararat and to the Black Sea, including all the territory demarchated in Wilson’s Arbitral Award of Nov.22,1920, the criminally occupied Western Armenian land today.
A Edgar Bergen,and Charley McCarthy,combination.Now which one is the dummy…….One,or two…You may be right…or a comedy of errors…..
……….. “What should be done, instead of reviving these woes, is to leave these to historians. This issue can not be tackled unilaterally.”……… ANOTHER trick, Turkey knows well Honesty and Integrity don’t exist these days and historians are bought and sold like tomatoes in the markets, what Gul is betting on is to buy historians to his favor and he’s not wrong
Thank you President Hollande for reminding Gul about the Armenian Genocide which was perpetuated by his ancestors and asking him to reconcile with history but unfortunatly Justice and Human Rights are against the the turkish genocidal and denialist regime’s core values.
respect
Had it not been for the West, today we would have been living in harmony with the Turks on our ancestral lands. Where we are concerned – the West’s track record has been one of deception. At Cilicia and Alexandretta they kicked us out.
Holland’s newly mistress, getting a wonderful Turkish massage by Abdullah’s specialists in Dolmabghcheh bathhouse!
This is traditional French mouth fart. Now watch how Armenians will fall over themselves to kiss his ass.
Don’t ever forget how France stabbed us in the back in Cilicia.
His words don’t mean much to me or for that matter what France says, its looking after its interest and Armenia doesn’t come into that calculation, same goes for the US and GB.
Hollande speaking to Gul refrained from using the correct term of genocide. Instead he referred to as the killings of Armenians. In a war scenario killings take place on a daily basis; so what is new in Hollands rendition ? Use the correct words Messieur Hollandes. That kind of gratutitous flim flam means absolutely nothing on the turk.
Hollande visit to Dink says it long. It is true he did not mention the word Genocide, or Armenian,or both together at all, but let us not forget who abandonned Cilicia populated by Armenians in te twentiesto Attaturk ? was not it France? They ae still using us as a trade currency for their intrests. the fools here once again both Turks and Armenians. Turkey should recognize the Genocide and stop this blackmail. I read Hollande words as follows” If yo do not grant us the contract of Nuclear plant ,we have te Genolcide File remember? Sarkozy Himself was able to sign the Geocide denial penaliing law, e had three days time, what he did? He waited untill some legislators applied o the Constitutional Court, if he signed it durring those 3 days time the appeal to the Constitutional court could have not been done anymore. But he did not,he only wanted to make a fuss and distrb Turkey Armnia rapprochement . Why we still do no understand things clearly ? Even afte 99 years!……
