LOS ANGELES–Last Saturday–Hollywood ANC members attended a private Holiday reception which introduced newly elected Congresswoman Diane E. Watson to her 32nd district. Los Angeles City Councilmembers Tom La Bonge and Eric Garcetti and Assemblymembers Jackie Goldberg and Dario Frommer hosted the event at the residence of Chris Hammond in Los Feliz.
Congresswoman Diane E. Watson was elected November 2001 replacing the deceased Julian Dixon. At the same time the area was redistricted and the new redistricting boundaries now include most of the Los Feliz area–East Hollywood including the newly designated Little Armenia District.
The congresswoman has been appointed to serve on the International Relations and Government Reform Committees. "Our Congresswoman Diane Watson’s Addition to the International Relations committee is great news to the Armenian community. After the Holidays ANC will meet again with the Congresswoman for detailed discussions about the issues," said Gary Khanjian–member of the Hollywood ANC chapter.
