The Committee to Celebrate the 80th Anniversary of Armenia’s First Independence announcd the addition of Vahan Hovannesian–Senior Advisor to the President of Armenia–to the Sunday–May 31 Independence Day Celebration to take place at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium.
"Given his vast political insights and first-hand experience of Armenia’s democratic developmen’s–as well as his outspoken advocacy for strengthening relations between Armenia and the Diaspora–the addition of Hovanessian to the program will attract interest from the Armenian-American community," said Harout Manoukian–Chairman of the Celebration Committee.
In addition to the keynote address by Hovannesian–the program–which begins at 6:30 p.m. and is open to the general public–will include a variety of musical and cultural performances as well.
The Pasadena Civic Auditorium is located at 300 East Green Street in Pasadena. Admission is free.
