YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Karabakh Minister of Social Security Lenston Gulian claimed the number of people entering Karabakh is three times greater than the number leaving. The minister also said that the government provides numerous monetary and housing incentives to promote childbirth in Karabakh.
However–he also said that the socio-economic condition of the people in Karabakh is dismal. He said at the moment he had 1,600 applications for social security on his table. This number–he said–does not include the applications filed to the regional and municipal social security departmen’s.
Gulian said that only seven percent of citizens capable of working were employed this year–and the volume of humanitarian aid received by the country was considerably reduced from the years past. However–even in such difficult conditions–the government manages to implement programs of great strategic importance–including programs that promote migration into the country.
