YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Interior and National Security Ministry services of Armenia registered member of Parliament Vano Siradeghian’s departure from Yerevan to Dubai–but did not detain him as they had no relevant warrant to do so–Interior and National Security Minister Serge Sargssian said in an interview with the "Golos Armenii" newspaper.
Sargssian added that if a warrant is issued–the services would immediately start to implement the proper measures. He also hoped that Siradeghian would return.
Sargssian also touched upon a list of four deputies which were supposed to be stripped of deputy immunity. According to the minister–at that time he was not referring to Vano Siradeghian. He said that the law enforcement agencies did not receive relevant materials and the case was dismissed. The late Prosecutor General Henrik Khachatrian submitted a petition to the National Assembly–asking to strip member of Parliament Nver Chakhoyan of deputy immunity. After the assassination of Khachatrian no petitions have been submitted.
In connection with Vano Siradeghian’s statement about meetings of some Armenian top officials with chief of the guard of the former president General Romen "Budo" Kazarian–who is wanted–Sargssian said that he personally did not meet with Budo–but "if Siradeghian wants Budo to testify–we’ll double and even triple our efforts [to find him]."
