YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–The National Assembly Republic faction held a session Wednesday dedicated to the Karabakh conflict.
The session was attended by Levon Ter-Petrosyan. Journalists were not allowed to attend the session despite the fact that they had lodged a written petition to the faction leader Rev. Hussik Lazarian–while Chairman of the Armenian National Movement Vano Siradeghian promised to pass journalists’ request to Ter-Petrosyan. Just before the beginning of the session–when the Ter-Petrosyan had already arrived–Siradeghian announced to journalists that the session would be "strictly confidential" and that was why journalists were not allowed to attend it.
Lazarian vowed to give a news conference–taking into consideration the importance of the problem discussed and the necessity of its coverage in the press.
