STEPANAKERT (Noyan Tapan)–The government of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic is going to table a bill on amendment of the Criminal Law of the republic and the Code of Administrative Penalties–under which persons involved in illegal organization and activities of religious groups and sects is to be subjected to administrative arrest of up to 1 month or fined in accordance with court ruling until martial law is effective in the country. The bill was approved by the government on May 11.
Having considered applications of Australian citizen Artemis Grigorian and citizens of the United States Vardges Anivian and Alice Anivian to grant them citizenship of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic–the government decided to satisfy their request and send a petition to the president of Karabakh–asking him to grant those persons the Karabakh citizenship.
