ETCHMIADZIN (Noyan Tapan)–Catholicos of All Armenia’s Karekin II received a group of representatives of the Union of Nationalities of Armenia headed by Union Chairman Vladimir Chatoyev. The reception was held in St. Etchmiadzin on December 21.
Introducing representatives of the Union’s twelve national public organizations to the Supreme Patriarch–Chatoyev said that Armenia has become their native country and Etchmiadzin is their "sweet home."
"The presence of various nationalities in our country is a great wealth," emphasized the Supreme Patriarch.
He added that representatives of the Russian–Greek–and Assyrian communities and all other communities living in Armenia not only enrich the country’s life with their national culture and traditions but also serve as a solid bridge promoting friendship among peoples and countries.
At the end of the meeting His Holiness blessed the representatives of Armenia’s national minorities and wrote his wishes in the Union’s memorandum book.
