YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Armenian President Robert Kocharian left on an official visit to Poland July 13. The president’s party includes Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian–National Security Minister Serge Sargssian–Minister of Finance Levon Barkhoudarian–other officials.
President Kocharian will meet with his Polish counterpart Alexander Kvasnevsky–Seim Marshal Macha Plazhinsky–Senate Marshal Alica Gzheskovyak. Negotiations are expected to result in the signing of several documen’s–including an agreement on friendship and cooperation between the two states–agreemen’s on avoiding double taxation and cooperation in the sphere of tourism.
President Kocharian is also scheduled to visit the Armenian Embassy in Warsaw.
Armenian businessmen are also among the president’s entourage. An Armenian-Polish business forum will open at the Chamber of Commerce of Poland with both countries’ presidents attending the opening session.
As part of the visit–Kocharian will visit Krakov and the Genocide Museum in Auschwitz-Bzhezinka. He will also hold meetings with representatives of the Armenian community of Poland.
