YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–President Robert Kocharian met with the OSCE Yerevan Office Director–Ambassador Roy Reeve on March 8. The OSCE official presented the main trends of the OSCE mission–which is primarily aimed at getting better familiarized with Armenia and promoting contacts.
The OSCE Office intends to facilitate solutions to economic–humanitarian and environmental problems–and discuss global programs of regional cooperation. The goal of the mission is to stimulate exchange of information and cooperation with international organizations.
Hailing the opening of the OSCE Office in the Armenian capital–Kocharian said that the work of the OSCE representatives would be instrumental in creating proper conditions for Armenia’s integration into the European family.
"European orientation is a priority in Armenian foreign policy–and we attach great importance to cooperation with European agencies," he underlined.
