Kocharian Weighs in On So-Called ‘Dialogue’

Former President Robert Kocharian

YEREVAN—Former President Robert Kocharian discussed the so-called “dialogue” between President Sarkisian and Armenian National Congress leader Levon Ter-Petrosian, saying the nature of the dialogue will determine its benefits or harm.
“If the dialogue aims to establishing civilized rules for political activity and rejects all radical approaches, then I’ll see that as positive,” Kocharian said in an exclusive interview with Mediamax news agency. “Stability is a necessary condition for economic growth, and this is what Armenia needs most today.”
The former president also said that that above-envisioned dialogue would also pave the way for fair elections.
However, “if the elections are being held under the ‘to be or not to be’ motto, then opportunities for falsifying exponentially increase,” explained Kocharian.
He warned that “if the dialogue involves the artificial parameters of a political contest—where both sides would mutually benefit—then it, most likely, will be collusion behind the voters’ back,” which will give way to standstill and increase corruption.
Kocharian warned that such a scenario would adversely impact the population, who will become pawns in the games between the authorities and the Armenian National Congress.
In his interview, Kocharian also discussed the role Ter-Petrosian’s Armenian National Movement played in the March 1, 2008 unrest, expressing hope that the newly ordered probe into the incidents will shed light on that.
“By the way, if the leader of the opposition did not sit at home, but tried to deter the crowds that he instigated, I am sure deaths would have been avoided,” explained Kocharian.

Mr. Kocharyan, You’d rather repent right away! The deaths could have been avoided only if You were not born at all! Mr. Putin had warned You, “Do whatever You want and/or whatever You are able to but no blood!” Mr. Putin knew what he was saying.

Kocharian must have a voice in the policies which determine the future of Armenia.
L.T.P. is a, bought and paid for, scoundrel and full-fledged traitor to Armenia!

Kocharian & Der Petrossian are former and current gangsters and criminals. They both must be trialed and put in jail for lifetime.
I can’t believe the audacity of these goons trying to come back and rip off whatever is left for poor Armenians and Armenia.
Sarkissian can prove he is a good Armenian if he puts these two criminals away for good.

Yes logically when 10 people died on march 1 2008, who benefited most?
Of course Levon ter – Petrosyan, so he and his dogs can have some thing to talk about.

I agree with the last sentcence. Levon also said that night, that he had had the best sleep ever. The phone conversation was published at the time.

Sarkisian is part of this group too, except I think he is realizing more and more that becoming legitimate and respected is a lot better option than going down in Armenian history as a scoundrel like the previous presidents, especially LTP. Unlike the other presidents the current one at least realizes that Armenians outside Armenia must also become a part of Armenia if we are to get anywhere.
