ASTANA (Armenpress)–Azeri Foreign Minister Elmar Mamedyarov said in an interview to the Trend news agency Thursday that the Azerbaijan had agreed to the suggestion of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmen over conducting the next meeting of the Azeri and Armenian foreign ministers in Geneva from March 13 to 14. "We are planning to conduct meetings within the framework of ‘Prague’ format. It is apparent that the Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity is not a subject for negotiations. In this particular case we are speaking of a stage by stage regulation of the conflict, putting aside controversial issues–withdrawal of Armenian forces from the occupied territories, return of the Azeri population, demining, restoration of infrastructures, economic cooperation. That is to say we are postponing the discussion of all these issues, leaving the most important one–the definition of the political status of Nagorno Karabakh within Azerbaijan," the foreign minister said, adding that this matter remained the subject of negotiations, but it was important that Azeris return to their homeland and together they would be able to establish the status of Karabakh. "Karabakh will be a republic or autonomous region in Azerbaijan," Mamedyarov said. Speaking about a timeline for the resolution of the conflict, Mamedyarov noted that "Taking into consideration the nature of the conflict we will not be able to regulate it immediately." He said the most necessary matter was to establish mutual trust between the two people. "We have no other choice, we are neighbors and must find way for reconciliation."
