Youth Issues will be the subject of the next "Issues and People" program on Glendale’s Government Access channel 6–on Charter Cable.
Issues and People will be cablecast live Thursday–November 18–from 7-8 p.m. Glendale Council Member Rafi Manoukian will host the program.
Council Member Manoukian has invited the following guests: Romik Kazaryan: Romik is 16 and a junior at Glendale High School. He hopes to attend college and be a teacher. He is a member-at-large youth representative on Glendale’s Youth Voice (GYV). He likes biking and rollerblading. Jessie Oritz: Jessie is 16 and a junior at Clark High School. She plays water polo and is looking forward to college. As a youth representative of GYV she represents the Girl Scouts – Mt. Wilson Visa Council. Derek Ellis: Derek is 14 and a freshman at Hoover High School. He is active in cross-country. His interest is in science and technology. As a youth representative of GYV he represents Boy Scouts – Verdugo Hills Council. Elina Mardes: Elina is 18 and attends Glendale Community College. She hopes to attend USC and major in psychology. She is a youth volunteer at Glendale Adventist Medical Center.
