ENCINO–The late Armenian Revolutionary Federation leader Hrair Maroukhian was remembered Sunday during a memorial service organized by the ARF Western US Central Committee to coincide with the traditional 40-day mourning period observed by Armenia’s.
Following requiem services at Holy Martyrs Armenian Church–the crowd gathered at the Ferrahian school’s Avedissian hall for a solemn memorial gathering–which began with ARF Central Committee member Mardig Gaboudian thanking those gathered for the respect they demonstrated to the late leader and the ARF family.
Following a prayer service officiated by Western Prelate Bishop Moushegh Mardirossian and area clergy–ARF Central Committee member attorney Arsen Danielian spoke about Maroukhian’s resilient commitment to the Armenian Cause and his dedication to the ARF.
Danielian’s remarks were followed by another eulogy delivered by ARF Bureau member Apo Boghigian–who discussed the Maroukhian’s legacy which guides the party and its activities.
Requiem masses were said at all area Prelacy-affiliated churches.
