YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan–Armenpress)–Armenia’s defense ministry announced Thursday that the victorious battles of Sardarabad–Bashabaran and Gharakilisseh–which resulted in the 1918 declaration of independence–would be reenacted as part of Armenia’s state celebrations of the 80th anniversary of Armenia’s independence.
Reenactment of other historic independence battles in Javakhk–Aparan and Vanadzor are also being planned. The preparation for this event will be lead by Major-General Sergey Martirossian.
