YEREVAN (Armenpress)–The Azerbaijani Zerkalo daily reported on the meeting between the Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents at the CIS summit and characterized it as "very important." The other ministers supported the private meeting and called for the presidents to continue negotiations–as well as to prepare their citizens for mutual concessions which will inevitably made if the citizens want a stable and lasting peace.
The council also decided upon the organization’s 2002 budget. 2.5 million euros will be allocated to the Minsk conference–under which the Minsk group operates. This year 2.4 million euros were allocated to the Minsk conference.
