YEREVAN (Armenpress)Armenia’s president, foreign minister and prime minister met Wednesday with the French and Russian OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmen who are in the region on the latest round of talks on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict resolution process. Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian met with Bernard Fassier of France and Yuri Merzlyakov of Russia to discuss a proposed peace deal, several points in which have not been agreed upon by all parties. The foreign ministry said a timetable of upcoming meetings was also discussed. Fassier and Merzlyajkov also met with President Robert Kocharian and discussed the current state of the peace negotiations. Also meeting with the co-chairmen was Prime Ministe Serzh Sarkisian, who was presented with the recent developmen’s in the Karabakh conflict resolution process. Sarkisian reiterated Armenia’s position of peaceful resolution of the conflict and emphasized the importance of respecting the right to self-determination of the people of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.
