YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–More than one hundred Armenian enterprises expressed their willingness to participate in a festival of Armenian products to be held this fall. The festival will be organized by the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia.
The chairman of the festival steering committee–the chairman of the UMBA’s latest technologies commission–doctor of technical sciences Vahan Amazaspian said that the main goal of the event is to present Armenian goods to the local market.
The festival will be held in different regions of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh. Fairs at which folklore groups will perform will also be organized within the framework of the festival.
The participants in the festival will have the opportunity to go on the "Christian Armenia 1,700" tour and participate in the effort to clean Armenian churches. Exhibitions of works of Armenian student painters have also been scheduled.
Currently–UMBA is holding negotiations with the governors of all regions of Armenia regarding the festival.
Among the enterprises participating in the festival are well-known Armenian dairy producers such as "Shant" and "Gyumri Kat," the "Grand Tobacco" Armenian-Canadian J.V.–the producer of metal constructions and modern designware "Technoimpex,"TOSP," the Yerevan Clock Factory–the Etchmiadzin Plastic Factory–etc.
Among foreign participants are "Sharp,"Tanak International," the Russian "Electrostandard" company–among many others.
