MOSCOW (ArmRadio)—On Tuesday, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian had a meeting with the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs Igor Popov, Jacques Faure and James Warlick, and the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kaspezyk.
During the meeting the parties continued the discussions on furthering the negotiation process on the peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict.
The co-chairs briefed the Armenian foreign minister on the results of their meeting with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov in Paris.
“Talks with Nalbandian in Moscow confirm that Armenia seeks a peaceful settlement in Nagorno-Karabakh,” James Warlick tweeted after the meeting.
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov met with OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs in Paris on March 10.
The Paris meeting discussed the current state of the negotiation process for resolving the conflict.
The parties expressed concern over non-settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Following the meeting, Warlick said the OSCE Minsk Group hopes the presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia will meet this month, and also noted that only the presidents can address the most difficult issues regarding peace.
Today will be another meeting of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs on the settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
“I look forward to talks with Russia today on Nagorno-Karabakh. We are resolved to work together with France to support the path to peace,” American co-chairman James Warlick tweeted.
