According to an announcement issued by the Consul General of the Republic of Armenia in Los Angeles–those citizens of Armenia who are permanent residents of the United State or are currently in the US may participate in Armenia’s May 30 National Assembly elections in the proportional voting. US citizens cannot vote in these elections.
Individuals wishing to participate must officially register to vote at the Consulate (by mail or in person) and on May 30 present themselves at the Consulate in order to vote. In your application to register you must include your name–last name–mailing address–permanent address and date of birth (month–day–year) and dispatch it to the Consulate at 50 N. La Cienega Blvd. #210–Beverly Hills–CA 90211.
The Armenian Revolutionary Federation is officially participating in the said elections and–as such–an election campaign committee has been established here in Los Angeles to facilitate the registration and transportation process and to provide information.
For this purpose the ARF Election Campaign Committee representatives will be available at the following venues and on the following days:
Sunday May 16 and 23–from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Mary’s Armenian Church (500 S. Central Ave.–Glendale) and at St. Garabed Church (1614 N. Alexandria St.–Hollywood).
Monday–May 17–Wednesday–May 19 and Friday–May 21–from 7 to 9 p.m. at Armenian centers in Glendale (721 S. Glendale Ave.–Glendale)–Hollywood (1203 N. Vermont Ave.–Hollywood) and North Hollywood (11719 Moorpark St.–Studio City).
