YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Ballots for the coming parliamentary elections are currently being printed. On May 25 member of the Central Electoral Commission Hamlet Abrahamian (ARF) raised a complaint that in the ballots the abbreviation for the ARF was spelled incorrectly (the abbreviation was printed in accordance with new spelling rules–instead of traditional old spelling). Chairman of CEC Artak Sahradian urged mass media outlets to pay attention to this inaccuracy and inform voters.
The printing of ballots aroused discontent of CEC members–as they said that they had not seen samples and have no any idea what paper and color was used in their printing. Members of the commission did not rule out that there may be other inaccuracies in ballots.
Later the CEC announced that according to specified data the number of eligible voters totals around 2,152,400.
