YEREVAN (Armenpress)–The OSCE winter session that begins in Vienna today may also set up a special working group to deal with regulation of the Karabakh conflict.
The idea was conceived last autumn during a visit by the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly President Adrian Severin to the South Caucasian region. According to the RFE/RL–Adrian Severin himself may head the Karabakh group.
There are also similar OSCE groups dealing with conflicts in Georgia’s breakaway region of Abkhazia and in Trans Dniestr region of Moldova act. These groups do not interfere in the negotiations process–but will supplement the work of specific organizations–authorized to help regulate the conflicts.
An Armenian delegation–led by Deputy Parliament Chairman Gagik Aslanian has left for Vienna to attend the session.
