YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Levon Ter-Petrosyan was presented with proposals from the conflicting parties by the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe Minsk Conference co-chairman Saturday.
During a meeting in Yerevan–Russian co-Chairman Vladimir Lozinsky–OSCE Minsk Group co-Chairmen Yuri Yukalov and Lynn Pasko discussed with Ter-Petrosyan organizational issues for future negotiating processes.
The meeting was attended by Armenia’s Foreign Minister Alexander Arzoumanian–his deputy Vardan Oskanian–Chief Presidential Advisor Gerard Libaridian and ambassadors from the US–France and Russia.
The OSCE delegation visited Stepanakert Saturday where they met with Karabakh Acting President Leonard Petrossian to continue discussing ways of settling the Karabakh conflict.
The sides emphasized the need to safeguard the cease-fire regime and resume the negotiating process to eventually find a mutually acceptable compromise.
They also highlighted the importance of a direct dialogue between the Azeri and Karabakh sides to determine the relationship between Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan.
The meeting was attended by Karabakh Foreign Minister Arkady Ghoukasian and Defense Minister Samvel Babayan.
