YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–"We had a serious and detailed discussion of the [Karabakh] problem with the President of Armenia," OSCE Minsk Group co-chairman Lynn Pasco (USA) said after meeting with President Robert Kocharian Friday.
Speaking on behalf of the other two co-chairmen George Vogier (France) and Yuri Yukalov (Russia)–Pasco refrained from giving any further commentaries about the two-hour meeting–noting that the delegation would be leaving for Baku the following morning to have a discussion with President Aliyev. Pasco also spoke of Wednesday’s meeting with Armenia’s Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian and described it as a "very good one." Speaking of the visit to Karabakh–Pasco only mentioned that the delegates discussed the problem with Karabakh leaders.
"The position of the OSCE and Minsk Group is that we–as co-chairmen–will make every effort to help in the settlement of the Karabakh conflict. We have been and will continue working for that," Pasco said.
