YEREVAN (Armenpress)–Armenian Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian and Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Mohammad Koleini and parliament and government members were present on Wednesday at a concert at the premises of Armenian foreign affairs ministry that was devoted to the 23rd anniversary of Islamic Revolution in Iran.
Addressing the audience at the concert–Vartan Oskanian congratulated the ambassador and the Iranian nation on the anniversary. "This event is another evidence that the traditional friendship between the two neighbor nations is on a high level–it is deep and all-embracing." Oskanian said.
For his part–Mohammad Koleini emphasized the need for cooperation and dialogue among all nations. He said that the language of violence can no longer be used in the third millennium.
Mohammad Koleini also referred to the belligerent rhetoric coming from the US. "The allegations of the US accusing Iran and other countries of developing weapons of mass destruction are absolutely groundless; The US has no right to make decisions instead of the UN," he said.
