MOSCOW (Itar-Tass)–Armenian Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanyan said Russian-Armenian relations have deep historic roots and are "at a high level."
He expressed the hope that they will grow even stronger in the future.
Oskanyan said that economic ties fall behind political contacts between the two countries and they should make a better use of their potential to expand economic–scientific–cultural and educational contacts.
In his meeting with members of the Armenian community in Moscow–the minister said a world congress of Armenian communities will be held in Yerevan in September. He has already visited many countries which have large Armenian communities–including France and the United States–as part of preparations for the congress.
