YEREVAN (Armenpress)–Armenian Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian left for Paris Monday from San Francisco where he participated in “ArmTech 2007” three-day conference.
Armenian Foreign Ministry press services told Armenpress that on July 10 Oskanian was scheduled to meet with the co-chairmen of the OSCE Minsk Group and discuss the Karabakh peace process.
Azeri President Ilham Aliyev last week told the graduates of the Azeri police academy that “Armenia must liberate ‘occupied’ Azeri territories on its own will to prevent a new war over Nagorno Karabakh.”
The Azeri leader also said, “From a military point of view, Azerbaijan is the most powerful state in the region and our neighbors must realize this. Armenia must withdraw its troops from the Azeri lands. Only then can we state that a new war will not begin.”
“Azerbaijan will never accept the occupation of its territories and is ready to liberate it by all means, including military,” the president said.
