For years we dreamed of it. For months we counted down to it. For a few short days we lived it. For a lifetime we will cherish it, for eternity we will remember it. Everyday was an undescribable adventure. Every hour was a completely unthinkable experience.
On the morning of May 19 we, the Pilibos Graduating Class of 2010, gathered at our school. This marked the beginning of our migration to out motherland. Excitement was radiating from each and every student.
With great anticipation, on May 21 during the breaking hours of dawn we landed in Armenia. As the plane touched down onto the runway the class broke out in uncontrollable cheers. It was as if the wild and crazy dream was finally coming to life. All of a sudden it all felt so real. Over the next few days we experienced pure elation. The bonds we formed, the memories we created amounted to the experience of a lifetime. We lived in the moment and conquered everything that life had to offer.
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. It was just another chapter in the book of your lives and time had come to turn the page. Before we knew it, before we understood it; it was over. Time had come to move on.
Our departure was met with great sorrow. Though we all missed home we weren’t ready to return. With great sadness and regret we boarded the plane back home. Just as quickly as it had all started it ended.
Now, as we look back it feels like a dream. One of those crazy dreams that you just don’t want to wake up from. One of those dreams that you don’t want to forget but sometimes doubt believing you saw. We thought it would last but now it’s so intangible in the past. However, the memories will forever gleam as we look back into the dream.
