YEREVAN (Armenpress)–Armenian president Robert Kocharian met on Wednesday with Armenian National Committee (ANC) representatives attending the organization’s world summit in Yerevan–including ARF Bureau member Garo Armenian who conveyed that the historical summit is being conducted in Armenia for the first time–and that the gathering coincides with the very significant upcoming parliamentary elections of the county.
Armenian stressed that the aim of the ANC World Summit is to become familiarized with Armenia’s approach to international developmen’s–and to discuss and determine the direction of ANC undertakings throughout the world.
Welcoming the initiative to hold the summit in Armenia–President Kocharian emphasized the key role of the ANC in the resolving pan-Armenian issues.
