MOSCOW (ArmRadio)—The Russian government has approved the treaty on Armenia’s accession to the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). The agreement was approved at a cabinet meeting on Nov. 20. The document will now be forwarded to the President of Russia, Vladimir Putin. He will consider the agreement and submit it for ratification by the Russian Duma.
The Agreement will ensure Armenia’s participation in the Eurasian Economic Union starting from Jan. 2, 2015, and will begin the process of eliminating barriers to trade between member countries’ markets.
Meanwhile, the prime ministers of Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member countries, who are in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, for a session of the Council of CIS heads of government, signed a protocol on Friday providing for “secure free movement of goods” across several former Soviet republics, the press service of the Armenian government said.
The meeting also discussed a set off issues concerning medical and social support for veterans, participants of local conflicts and their families living in CIS countries, as well as the allocation of funds for the creation and development of a united air defense system of CIS countries.
The heads of government also discussed other issues concerning the development of cooperation within the Commonwealth.
Really! Who would have guess?
Really! Who would have guessed?
I wonder if Mr. Putin will sign the document? The suspense is killing me, I’m almost out of nails to chew….
Thank God! Armenia’s opposition and some of the diaspora may have clouded vision, but it is obvious to Armenian nationalists, as well as to our Turkish, Azeri, Islamist, Georgian, Israeli, and western enemies that once Armenia is officially in the Eurasian Union, Armenia and Artsakh will be an untouchable fantasy for their hate-filled, racist and aggressive foreign policy dreams. I am looking forward to seeing Armenia develop and reach new heights under the protective Russian umbrella.
God Bless the Russo-Armenian alliance and protect it from all enemies foreign and domestic!

Instead of relying on this or that county, why don’t you seek out ways of securing your own place in this world. No one will protect you in the long run if it’s counter-productive to their interests.
Naiveté is fatal and natural selection always takes precedence!
Amen.
Bravo Kevin, never thought a Greenpeace activists would have your clearness of vision.
Yes, indeed: May God bless our Russo-Armenian alliance and may he help protect it from all enemies both foreign and domestic.
Thank you Avetis! I must say that I have been following your posts for years now. Let me assure you that Kevin Abrahamian is the kind of person who enjoys being filled with knowledge, wisdom and other wonders of life at the hands of capable Armenian men such as yourself.
