YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Stepanakert will be fully provided with natural gas by the end of the year. Meanwhile–Artsakh Gas CJSC has launched a project of providing gas to another major center of Karabakh–Shushi. The Karabakh government has earmarked 10 million drams for these projects. Over 300 dwellings in Shushi will be supplied with gas by October 1.
A reconstruction project has been launched at the Stepanakert-Askeran gas pipeline to supply 150 homes in the regional center with natural gas by October 1. The cost of all of the projects in Askeran is 17 million drams.
The Martuni and Hadrut regions will be supplied with liquefied gas as a temporary solution to the problem.
Artsakh Gas has to seek additional sources of financing. Such Armenian organizations as Gas Distributing Company LTD–ArmTransGas CJSC and Armrosgazprom render considerable assistance to Artsakh Gas in its activities.
