A Court of Appeals in Switzerland upheld a ruling by the Lausanne Court on the leader of the Turkish Labor Party Dogu Perinchek for denying the Armenian Genocide.
In March the Court of Lausanne sentenced Perinchek to 90 days of provisional imprisonment and was fined $2.5 thousand. The Court also made the nationalist to pay a fine to an Armenian organization.
According to the Associated Press, Dogu Perinchek’s attorney Loran Moreyon declared that his client intends to the supreme court of Switzerland ‘s the Federal Tribunal.
Perinchek’s case was the first case the anti-racist law of Switzerland was applied.
