YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian left for London on March 1 to participate in the ceremonial opening of the "Treasures of the Ark" exhibition dedicated to the 1700th anniversary of the adoption of Christianity as a state religion in Armenia.
The exhibition was organized by Vache and Tamar Manoogian. The opening of the exhibition was also attended by Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenia’s Karekin II.
On the same day Vardan Oskanian met with Head of the British Foreign Office Robin Cook. The two discussed the current stage of the Karabakh peace process and the upcoming meeting of the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Paris. Oskanian and his British counterpart also touched on Armenian-British relations and possibilities of expansion.
Minister Oskanian introduced Armenia’s new Ambassador to Great Britain Vahram Abajanian to representatives of the local Armenian community.
