ANKARA (Hurriyet)–Turkish fighters have launched an aerial attack against Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) targets in northern Iraq, the Turkish NTV channel reported late Thursday.
It said 20 fighters hit around 50 points in the Hakurk and Zap region, without detailing the specific targets and damage given.
The attack came a day after Turkey’s top envoy in Baghdad, Murat Ozcelik, met with Massoud Barzani, head of the Regional Kurdish Administration.

What is YELLOW STAIN turkey doing attacking in Iraq. They played neutral in the war, didnt allow U.S. troops access into northern Iraq. All the countries blinking and permitting this act of aggression. There goes YELLOW STAIN turkey bluffing and getting by with it.All those peace organizations should hang their heads in shame.
Turkish cowards flying in high tech US/NATO weapons against poorly armed PKK guerillas, the true mark of a “brave Turkish warrior”. Turks have graduated from their days of riding donkeys thanks to NATO sponsorship, but don’t tell them that, they still naively believe it was the “great Ataturk” that made it all possible.
On the ground vis a vis, the PKK would hand these Turkeys their behinds on a platter.
It seems one of this plains is hit. If you take a careful look, than you would see that one of them releases reddish smoke. One is going down, one is going down 😀
When will America learn? This so called “trusted ally in the war on terror” is not to be trusted.Soon enough the Turks will do to the Kurds, thier fellow Muslims, the same thing they’ve done before.
The USA has sadly become a paper tiger taking orders from Turkey.
The USA is now a morally bankrupt country, it has no right to lecture other nations about human rights and democracy.
Alright, since you guys have no idea what you guys are talking about… i’m going to tell you what actually happening. @ Alex Postallian: Turkey didn’t play neutral. If you must know The U.S has an Airbase in Turkey and Turkey gave the go for the U.S to fly over turkish airspace. Also we were allowed to Strike by AIr but we were not allowed to do ground advancements. @Norin Radd aren’t we doing the same thing? With the taliban and everything? We are going around bombing with our f-16s and fighting with our highly trained, well armed soldiers. (taliban fighters are not that well armed either buddy). Also since when did Turkey think that their weapons are from Ataturk? Yes, they do have an f-16 factory and btw it seems that most of turkey’s weapons are german. (only the air force is all american and the f-4’s are upgraded by the isrealis) @ john papa I am glad that turkey is our ally. They have the second largest standing army in NATO and happens to be in a very strategical area. @ arman these fighters werent in the operation… if you read it wa sonly f-16s and f-4s. Those are f-5 😀 hahaha and the red smoke is the sun hahaha its ok arman some of us arent that smart :-p.
Morally bankrupt? Are you kidding? By the time the west wakes up it will be to late to stop the big one, when Isreal goes after nuke targets in Iran and then has to take out Turkish missle sights in Turkey as well as Iran.
The turkies are very brave when the have the edge i.e.planes against ground troops;Face to face,it has to be UNARMED WOMEN,CHILDREN, OR OLD PEOPLE.on equal footing they TURN YELLOW, as of WW1 When they recieved their nom de plume,YELLOW STAIN.
