ANKARA (Anadolu–Marmara)–Log onto the Turkish General Staff’s Website at www.tsk.mil.tr to find the latest Turkish assessment of what is being called "the Armenian problem." The purpose of the website is to counteract the recent Armenian successes regarding genocide recognition in the parliamen’s of numerous countries.
This problem was assessed under the titles of "Introduction"–"Armenian Identity and Turkish-Armenian Relations in History"–"What is the Armenian Problem?"–"Armenian Uprising and Massacres"–"Deportation Law–its Implementation and Allegations on So-called Genocide on Armenia’s"–"What is Genocide? Exemplary Incidents of Genocide"–"Armenian Terrorism" and "Current Situation and Conclusion".
The assessment says–"the so-called Armenian problem which began in the second half of 1960s with blackening campaigns launched by Armenian groups in some countries against Turkey–turned into ‘gory Armenian terrorism’ after 1973. Armenian activities against Turkey had been put into practice within the framework of a plan since 1973. This plan included levels of promotion of the so-called Armenian problem with terrorism–recognition of the so-called genocide–receiving compensation from Turkey–and obtaining territory from Turkey."
It said–"it is necessary to study historical progress in order to understand that the so-called Armenian problem which is being kept on the international agenda intentionally–is baseless; and was put forward with concerns about interest."
