LOS ANGELES—On Saturday, October 29, the United Armenian Congregational Church in Los Angeles will host its 53rd Annual UACC Banquet. The event will be held in the Paul Avazian Hall, and will begin at 6pm with mezzes and mingling. Dinner will be served at 7pm.
This year, we look forward to hearing from our featured guest speaker, Dawn Anahid Mackeen, author of The Hundred Year Walk—the story of MacKeen’s grandfather’s survival during the 1915 Armenian Genocide. She retraces the harrowing journey her grandfather underwent in an effort to outlive the heinous atrocities of his time. MacKeen committed nearly a decade of her life to writing and researching the contents of this book and it was recently published in January of this year.
The theme of this year’s banquet is “Faith of our Fathers,” and we know that MacKeen has many rich insights to share on this topic. Her message along with the opportunity to fellowship, dine and rejoice with the church community will make this a very special night for all who attend. We look forward to seeing friends – both new and old – and reconnecting with families in the community.
Join us for this evening of worship and reflection as we celebrate another year of uniting to serve to the Lord. For more information, please call (323) 851-5265.
