Prime Minister’s Nikol Pashinyan’s “My Step” Alliance on Sunday swept to a resounding victory in the Yerevan Municipal Elections capturing more than 81 percent of the votes to guarantee the political bloc the most seats on the city council, according to results published by Armenia’s Central Electoral Commission.

Coming in a distant second was businessman Gagik Tsarukian’s Prosperous Party of Armenia , which received seven percent of the votes, with the Luys Alliance capturing the third spot with five percent of the votes. The remaining nine parties and alliances did not receive the needed five percent of the votes to be part of the City Council.

The Armenian Revolutionary Federation was in fourth place with 1.62 percent of the votes.

My brothers and sisters of ARF the 1.62% should make you rethink what you’ve been doing since 1996. In late 1980’s Armenians thought ARF was their hope, now ARF is like HHK(anti-Armenian) for Erevantsis. Working/cooperating with Kocharyan and Sargisyan makes you working against Haygagan Bedaganutyun.

The results for the ARF are dismal at best. They have managed to relegate themselves to irrelevancy. Without the diaspora, their existence would be an afterthought. Like most revolutionary movements, they’re very well versed in revolutionary rhetoric, but highly deficient in governance.

Poor leadership and lack of vision are the root causes of this period of irrelevance the ARF is experiencing in Armenia.

I can’t believe how Armenians in Armenia are being deceived by this Nikol. The situation has already started to worsen in Armenia and the more we wait the more it is bad. Some political lessons should be given to those Armenians that voted for Pashinyan’s man.
