YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–"This infamous crime committed against our statehood and people became possible only due to the criminal inactivity of the structures that are supposed to ensure our country’s security–whereas attempts were made to accuse the structure that were able to act correctly," member of the Unity parliamentary faction–Board member of the Yerkrapah Union of Volunteers–Myasnik Malkhassian said at the meeting of the National Assembly November 9.
Expressing the Yerkrapah concern over the crime committed in the Parliament on October 27–he said: "I want to ask: `When is the state of emergency declared in the country? After the prime minister is killed–the National Assembly is deprived of its leaders–ministers and Parliament members are killed. In this situation state of emergency must be declared to avoid further serious consequences. An attempt was made to accuse the structures that try to stabilize the situation and ensure security. The Yerkrapah-volunteers sacrificed their blood for the independence and freedom of our homeland and they cannot stand aloof today–when the dark forces shot bullets at our homeland–at our sacred cause–at our national liberation and supporters of our independent statehood."
"We also condemn the position of the political forces that are trying to extenuate the guilt for this heinous crime thereby becoming accomplices. The loss is great and irretrievable–but today the Yerkrapah Union of Volunteers is more than ever determined to spare no efforts to expose the real plotters of the crime and supports all the steps made by the healthy forces of the country in this direction," Myasnik Malkhassian said.
