GLENDALE–Glendale City Councilman Larry Zarian announced Tuesday that he will not seek a fifth term in the City Council. This ends a 16-year run for Zarian–who has served as mayor four times.
Zarian announced that beginning Jan. 11–he will host a talk show on the Glendale-based KIEV radio station. His show will air weekdays from 7 to 8 p.m.
His decision not to seek a fifth term–leaves the upcoming city council race in Glendale wide open.
In his remarks–Zarian said that his decision was solely personal and that he was pursuing a "childhood dream to have a talk show every day."
He urged Glendale residents to be wise in their selection for future city councilmembers–and vote for the candidate with the best record of serving Glendale. Zarian declined to answer inquiries regarding future political aspirations.
