YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Armenia’s ex-president Levon Ter-Petrosyan intends to open a Yervan office–for which the Armenian government will provide the necessary financial funds. The former presidential spokesman Levon Zourabian will hold the post of the public information assistant at the office.
Telling Noyan Tapan about it–Zourabian stressed that it is a practice in all the civilized world that retired presidents should be engaged in public and political activities as well as carry out different missions. However–Zourabian found difficulty in clarifying whether Ter-Petrosyan’s activities will be public or political–noting that it will become clear about one or two months after the office is opened.
Zourabian also reported that he won the competition held by the "Accels" organization and was invited to take a course of "public administration." However–he has not yet decided if he will participate in the course organized at American universities for the representatives of the Eastern Europe and the CIS.
