YEREVAN (Noyan Tapan)–Acting Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanian met on Sunday with Christopher Shield and Emmanuel Geoffrey–OSCE representatives on a preliminary mission to Yerevan–to discuss issues related to the upcoming presidential election in Armenia.
Shield referred to the interest of the OSCE Office of Democratic Institutes and Human Rights in the upcoming presidential election in Armenia. He explained that ten OSCE observers will be in Armenia for about a month–and the total number of OSCE observers will reach 100 during the election.
Oskanian stressed that Armenian authorities are adamant about holding a free and fair election.
