In an op-ed piece entitled “A Moral Israel Must Recognize the Armenian Genocide,” published in the Jerusalem Post Magazine Sunday, Dr. Israel Charny says “Israel must put an end to this charade and fully recognize the Armenian genocide.”
“And for us Jews and Israelis, there are added meanings: One Israeli Professor at Bar Ilan University once characterized the Armenian genocide as a ‘dress rehearsal for the Holocaust.’ We also know that Hitler explicitly built on the precedent of the Armenian genocide when he went after us Jews,” says Charny.
What would world be without people like Prof. Charney ?
An even more cruel and even more unjust place.
Mr israel charny talking to the deaf ears…..
Israel must tread carefully. If they make such an absurd and historically incorrect decision, where would it leave their holocaust credibility
that’s a great demonstration of turkish logic – empty words veiling empty threats. evolved, up to a certain point, from life in the mongolian steppes.works well against unarmed women and children, but useless against even a rag-tag army defending freedom and democracy. fortunately such barbarism is now illegal in France and Switzerland, and will soon be banned across Europe. but hey don’t let that stop you sedat you keep typing up a strom there in ankara or baku or islamabad or whichever 3rd world open toilette you live in, enjoy it while you can.
It’s pathetic how ignorant individuals, such as Sedat here above, driven by a self-serving agenda, can utter such a loathsome comment. The Armenian genocide is neither “absurd nor incorrect”. It is a historical fact as clear as daylight recognized by the most noted world famous cognescenti, amongst them Prof. Charney.
With his absurd remark, Sedat not only displays his ignorance regarding a well documented historical event, a lack of cognitive thinking, but a tunnel-vision, blindfolded-bias, and paranoia.
Historic events are just that. They do not eclipse one another.
People without a mote of intellectual capacity should refrain themselves from becoming ships floating on self-serving streams.
No body in his right mind denies the holocaust. but to fight the steep slope, one should also recognize the presence of the gentle slope.
Not only he does not seem to possess a modicum of familiarity with history, but his unfounded paranoia regarding the adverse effect recognition of the Armenian genocide might have on his “legendary” holocaust. Not only such an absurd remark proves his tunnel, blind folded vision, but also lack of common sense. But then again biased individuals,
This is exactly what the GOD of ancient Israel expected his children to be and speak
Rightiousness.
Israel, be brave and don’t fear the Turks, they are not your friends….they do not wish you your good or your welfare. Reclaim your morality and credibility! End your hypocrisy! Recognize the Armenian Genocide!
Only political interests will dictate Israel stance towards our Genocide. Huffing and puffing won’t help.
Bravo Israel Charney and Bravo Israel – we would like to thank you in advance for accepting the Armenian Genocide in the near future. Isreal has it’s own set of huge problems and not too many friends in the Middle East. Turkey clearly turned out to be a untrustworthy friend. We need to take what you get! the tides turn slow! There are many like Dr. Charney
Wake up everyone.
It is the time to wake up.

Where “will recognition of the Armenian genocide leave the Jewish holocaust”, he asks? Right where it is: at the epicenter of attention.
Historic events are just that. They do not eclipse one another. To ignore one, in order to safeguard the importance of another, shows dearth of respect and compassion toward other persecuted nations/individuals.
No body in his right mind denies the holocaust. To fight the steep slope, one should also recognize the presence of the gentle one.

I urge Mr. Sedat to kindly remove his blindfolds.
Let us all…mindful of how much work is to be done…influence our national governments and demand that they ALL follow the fine example of France!
Let us ALL commemorate the Armenian Genocide this year and draw attention to this heinous, unconfessed crime of Turkish theocratic supremacism!
