ANKARA (Combined Sources)—Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday called for France to quit its co-chairmanship of the OSCE Minsk Group, which is tasked to mediate the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
“France has clearly shown that it is a side [in the Karabakh conflict] after adopting a law penalizing denial of Armenian allegations on Ottoman era incidents of 1915, which is why it has to step down from the Minsk Group,” Erdogan said in an interview with the Azeri national TV network, ANS.
Erdogan said French President Nicolas Sarkozy has never been fair and sincere in his relations with Armenians, adding that his judgment as a Minsk member could not be trusted.
Meanwhile in Yerevan on Monday, the NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia James Appathurai met with Foreign Minister Eduard Nalbandian.
The two discussed issued related to NATO’s Partnership for Peace and Individual Partnership Action Plan programs.
In discussing Nagorno-Karabakh, Appathurai stressed that negotiations on the resolution of the conflict must continue within the OSCE Minks Group framework.

Alex, like lots of other words in turkish, meymun is in fact a Persian word meaning monkey. When turk nomads came into Armenia in the 11th century they had a vocabulary of about 800 words, that’s it. Anyways, point is nothing can be called ‘turkish’, not the cities they reside in (they didn’t build any cities), their language is a mashup of persian, arabic, and their nomadic bullshit guglubuglusuz iblumunuyorum language LOL, their foods are are all taken from other cultures, as are their dances, songs, etc. Whatever is claimed as turkish, is infact either persian, armenian, greek, arabic, etc…We disrespect other ancient cultures by describing their words as turkish. In uzbekistan, they speak persian and turkish mixed, because the cities bukhara and samarkand are persian and were in the persian empire, but as Stalin gave away karabakh to azeris, he did the same with samarkand and bukhara and gave them to Uzbekistan, instead of persian Tajikistan, which is the rightfull owner of those cities.
