SHERMAN OAKS—This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Charlotte & Elise Merdinian Armenian Evangelical School. To commemorate its Pearl Anniversary, the School Board will host a special banquet on Sunday, March 4 at the George Deukmejian Grand Ballroom at Ararat Home of Los Angeles.
The elegant evening of fine dining, entertainment, and a retrospective of the school’s history and achievements will feature the engaging Peter Kougasian, Esq. as keynote speaker.
Peter Kougasian holds the position of Special Assistant District Attorney in the Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor for the City of New York. He is “a gifted speaker who captivates his listeners with charm and humor,” describes Dr. Vahe Nalbandian, Chairman of the Merdinian School Board of Directors.
Part of the evening will be devoted to recognizing a number of Merdinian alumni who will be invited to participate in a special ceremony honoring the school’s 30 years of academic excellence. The School Board hopes that the banquet will serve as a reunion for its alumni and be a potential launching pad for the creation of an alumni association. All alumni are encouraged to attend, reminisce, and reconnect with old friends, teachers, and their school.
Established in 1982, WASC-accredited C & E Merdinian Armenian Evangelical School is dedicated to providing an academically rich and spiritually invigorating education for its entire preschool through 8th grade student body. The school prepares its graduates to be responsible American citizens and future leaders who are firm in their Christian beliefs and proud of their Armenian heritage.
Merdinian School is a non-profit organization and welcomes all tax-deductible donations for the proper use and support of the school.
